Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish - Melanotaenia Praecox

Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish are mid level schooling fish with glittering color shades under the appropriate aquarium lighting.

When the water parameters are good, the male fish bring out their reddish shades at the tip of their fins and tail. Their colors are emphasized when lighted on the side of their body.

Dwarf Rainbowfish although larger in size, proved a little less brave than Harlequins and like to school together with other groups feeling more safe in greater numbers.
